Office of Ordnance 1th June 1765 The Master General and the Principal Officers of His Majesty's Ordnance having in pursuance of the King's Orders, cause Three Companys of the Royal Regiment of Artillery to be embarked on board the Billericay and Raven Transports in order to relieve Three of the Companies now in America and Newfoundland; I am by their commands to give you this notice thereof, and to desire you will please to give the necessary orders for embarking the Companies which are intended to return by the said Transports with as much dispatch as the nature of the Service will admit. I have the honour to be with the greatest respect Sir Your most obedient and most humble Servant John Boddington His Excellency Major General Gage, or the Commander in Chief of His Majesty; 2 at New York Forces Sir
