- Definition
- Ashlar block beneath floor in Room I-2
- Description
- Ashlar block located along line dividing room I-2 - it seems likely that the eastern limit of the block, which is not visible, lines up with the line dividing the two floor areas (8023 and 8024/25) within the room. Gray tufo.
- Interpretations
- 2016-07-05 - Kathryn Longley: Ashlar block appears along line dividing room I-2. It is slightly removed from the wall of I-2, and thus appears to be part of a leveling surface for the western half of I-2. Alternatively, it may represent an earlier wall or other feature, as other evidence points to the existing floor surfaces (8023 and 8024) belonging to a later phase of the room.
