- ID
- 7037
- Definition
- Opus mixtum wall built on top of wall 7057
- Description
- This wall, though it appears to be a single construction, has at least four distinct sections, in four different techniques: opus reticulatum at the east, petit appareil in the center, with opus incertum at the west and possibly opus mixtum on top. Part of the concrete foundation on the north side, where the wall does not sit atop blocks 7071, is preserved.
- Interpretations
- 2016-07-22 - Andrew Johnston: This wall belongs to the later phase of Room 1, after the destruction of the ashlar phase. It may be in phase with E wall 7038, as part of a more extensive reorganization of this space.
