- Chocorna, N. H. Found in beech woods, in a wet place, by the side of a rock, among rotten leaves. Mature plant.

- Margin of pileus not at all striate. Fine striae present on the gill-side of the ring.
- There are no notes to the young plant, i.e., the one of intermediate size, with the stem already elongated. The plant was secured in woods at Chocorna, N. H.
- These two plates were reproduced in the Nat. Geogr. Magazine for May, 1920, under the name of Amanita phalloides. Prof. Kauffman very kindly called my attention to this error.
