Fung. 5: 754. 1887. It is said to resemble P. tuberculosa. We have seen no autlentic material. Pholiota howeana (Pk.) Peck, N. Y. State Mus. Bull. 122: 147. 1908; see also Rept. N. Y. State Mus. 26: 59. 1874. Also, Stropharia howeana Peck, Buffalo Soc. Nat. Sci. 4: 53. 1873. see Agrocybe howeanna (Pk.) Singer. Pholiota intermedia Smith, Ann. Myc. 32: 479. 1934. see Pholiotina septentrionalis (Smith) Singer. Pholiota langei Singer, Nor. Acta Inst. Bot. Komarov Acad. Sci. USSR. ser. 2 pe Crypt. fasc. 6. p. 417. 1950 (replaces P. intermeclia Lange). Pholiota lapponica (Fr.) Singer. Lilloa 22: 517. 1951. Pholiota lutea Peck, Ann. Rep. N. Y. Mich. Acad. Sci. Arts & Letters 32: 142. 1948. Pholiota magnivelata MNorse, Mycologia 33; 367. 1941. either a Thaxterogaster or a Cortinarlis. Pholiota marginata (Fr.) Quelet, Champ Jura & Vosges p. 94. 1872 (see p. 127 in the reprint). see Galerina marginata (Fr.) Smith & Singer. Plholiota mcmurphyi Murrill, Mycologia 4: 260. 1912. an examination of the type shows it to be a Cortinarins. Pholiota martinicensis Patouillard, in Duss, Enum. Champ. Guad. p. 54. 1903. Probably in section Flavidula of Pholiota but should be studied critically in a restudy of Phaeomarasmins and Tubaria. Pholiota megalosperma Singer, Sydowia 7: 216. 1953. Plholiota minima Peck, Ann. Rep. N. Y. State Mus. 41: 65. 1888. see Galerina minima (Pk.) Smitl and Singer. Pholiota mollicula Bann. apud Peck, New York State Mus. Rept. 44: 182. 1892. We were unable to locate the type. Plholiota musae (Earle) Murrill, Mycologia 5: 34. 1913. see Pholiotinia musae Earle, Inf. An Estac. Agron. Cuba 1: 241. 1906. In the type material examined, the spores were found to be 13-18 x 7-12 / ellipsoid, smooth, pale, germ pore not evident. Pleurocystidia and cheilocystidia were not found. Probably not a Pholiota. Pholiota mycenoides (Fr.) Gillet, Champ. France p. 432. 1876. see Galerina jaapii in Smith 8c Singer (1964) and also Conocybe. Pholiota ombrophila (Fr.) Saccardo, Syll.
