Lack of Reports to City Board
Prevents Analysis-Hurty
Sees Plague on Wane.
The failure of physicians to report
influenza cases to the city board of
health yesterday made it impossible
for Dr. Herman G. Morgan, secretary,
to analyze the situation and no action
will be taken until a meeting of the
board tomorrow afternoon.
Dr. Morgan said that only two
physicians had reported during the day
and that these reports.were insufficient to warrant a statement as to
whether the disease is spreading or
whether it is on the wane "The reports which the board will receive
Monday." Dr. Morgan said. "will serve
as a true index to the situation, and at
the board meeting Tuesday action taken
will be in line with epidemic conditions as found."
If the disease is found to be spreadIng, instead of decreasing, it is Dr.
Morgan's opinion that a restrictive
order may be thought nehessary by the
board and if such conditions exist the
action of placing a ban will be considered by the board at its meeting tomorrow.
Two physicians reporting to the city
bo0'd of health Sunday announced nine
hew cases of Influenza developed since
final reports submitted for Saturday.
There were three deaths reported late
iq the afternoon due to pneumonia, and
six deaths reported to the health offoe
as occurring or Sunday. The grand total of influenza cases reported since the
