"True to the history of pandemics of influenza of the nineteenth century," this article begins, "... the great outbreak of last year has been followed by epidemic outbreaks chiefly in the larger cities." Hence this article concerns itself with influenza outbreak as it manifested in Cook County Hospital in 1920. Contains a statistical overview, and discusses symptoms, complications, and the bacteriology of the disease.
