Taken from William Crouch, by virtue of a Warrant granted from Francis Chapline Mayor to Henry Halsteed Priest of Benet Grace-Church, by William Ston∣yard of Thredneedle-street Coffee-House-keeper, and the Clerk of the Parish of Bennet Fynck Threedneedle-street, and hired Con∣stable, and John Jesse who keeps an Ale-house in Ball-Ally in Lumbard-street, Seven pieces of Stuff worth 13 l. 6 s.

Note, That the abovesaid Priest and them that did his Work re∣turned a Bill of Charges, in which they signified, there was 1 s. 2d. to be returned, which being laid before Francis Chapline then Mayor, Page  33 he openly rebuked the said George May Priest,* and would have had the man that so Ʋnreasonably Took & Detained the aforesaid Thomas Robinson's Goods bound over to the Sessions, but the said Tho. Robin∣son answered, I commit my Cause unto the Lord, who said, Vengeance is mine, and I will Re-pay it. So after this they re∣turned 11 s. which is 1 l. 17 s. 8 d. more than their Demands.

The 1st of the 5th Moneth 78. Taken from Richard Butcher of Anne Aldersgate Parish, for 15 s. for a Year's Tythes, by Henry Wyat Collector, and Thomas Warren Constable, by vir∣tue of a Warrant granted to Samuel Freeman, Priest of the Parish aforesaid, these Goods following:

About the 7th of the 7th Moneth, 78. Taken by Middleton Smith Constable, and Francis Finch Clerk from John Newton of the Parish of Martins Orgars, by virtue of a Warrant granted by Francis Chapline Mayor, to John Sherid Priest of the afore∣said Parish, for 16 s. 10 d. demanded, Goods to the value of 1 l. 14 s. being 17 s. 2 d. more then demanded.

The 9th of the 8th Moneth, 78. Taken from Jasper Robins of Dunstans in the East Parish, Cheefe-monger, by virtue of a Warrant granted to Geo. Gifford Priest of the said Parish, from Page  35 Francis Chapline Mayor, by Robert Plum Constable, and George Kent Parish-Clerk, three Hundred and seven pound of Cheese really worth 3 l. 13 s. 6 d. for 1 l. 16 s. 8 d. demanded
