The Welsh-mans new Lawes and Or∣ders of Warre, for hir Cosen Taffies Campes in Wales.

  • 1. THat hir be not too forward to fight with any of hir none flesh and blood, vntill hir know why and wherefore, nor kill hir no more, cause hir Cozen Taffy love te Parliament but love hir self too.
  • 2. Item, That if hir loose hir Colours in the field to cheaters at Dice, hir be cashiered for a foole.
  • 3. Item, If any Souldier learne, or use more termes of Art in his exercise then his Captain can teach him, hir shall then ride the publique horse.
  • 4. Item, If any Captaine cannot vnderstand his Co∣lonels directions for the word of command, hir shall forfeit a Goose for hir slender judgement.
  • 5. Item, That no Sutler trust the Souldiers with too much meate; for feare hir surfeit, vpon paine of none payment thereof.
  • 6. Item, That if any Trooper shall sell hir create horse and saddle, hir shall fight on foote till hir by valour get hir a horse to ride on.
  • 7. That none of all hir Cosen Taffies Soldiers march neerer to the enemy, nor pursue upon a sally neerer their workes then hir Officers dare leade the way, least when they have fought, they be left in the lurch.
  • 8. Item, That whatsoever any Souldier can get by fighting and bring away from hir enemy, hir shall keep hit none selfe, if hir do not spend it.
