READER,

FOr the great satisfaction I have my self received thereby, and the excellent Divinity therein con∣tained,* I thought fit to commend unto thee this ensuing Book, called The late Assembly of Divines Confession of Faith examined: wherein many of their Excesses and Defects, of their Confusions and Dis∣orders, of their Errors and Contradictions, are pre∣sented, &c. by a modest, but admirable sound Pen-man. It's apparent by this Treatise, there were many good Divines in England, besides those present in the As∣sembly.

There is also now published, Theatrum Chemicum Page  [unnumbered] Britannicum, containing severall Poeticall pieces of our famous English Philosophers, who have written the Hermetique Mysteries, or of the Philosophers Stone, in the English Tongue; published in honour of the English Nation, by Elias Ashmole, Esq; a Gen∣tleman very learned, and a great lover of Antiqui∣ties. The Collection it self is of excellent Learning, and the Publishers Annotations on some hard places most ingeniously and profoundly performed.

Rothmans Chiromancy, or, the Harmony of Chirman∣cy with Astrology; Englished by Capt. George Whar∣ton: sold by Nathaniel Brooks. A piece of acurate Learning.

There will be publique in Easter Term next, an excellent piece of Chiromancy and Metaposcopy, viz. rationall Judgement from the lines of the Forehad, by Richard Sanders, Student in Astrology. The like Work never extant in English. All sold by Natha∣niel Brooks at the Angel in Cornhill.

The Darknesse of Atheism dispelled by the Light of Nature: A learned and elaborate Treatise; is new∣ly published, written by Doctor Charleton, Physitian to the late King. London, Printed for W. Lee at the Turks head in Fleet-street, 1652.
