8. Concerning the Offices of Christ.

That Jesus Christ is the onely Mediatour of the new Testa∣ment, even of the Covenant of grace between God and man; the Prophet, Priest, and King of the Church of God for evermore; and this office is so proper to Christ, as, neither in the whole, not any part thereof, it can be transferred from him to any other. And to this office he was from everlasting, and in respect of his Man∣hood, from the wombe, called, separated, and anointed most ful∣ly with all necessary gifts, as it is written, God hath not measured out of the Spirit unto him.
