His death was sufficient for all, say the Schoolemen, but effectual
onely for the Elect and them that are faithfull. If we respect the vertue and force of Christs blood, it is sufficient for the redempti∣on of all: but if we looke vpon the purpose and eternall counsell of God, and the good will of the Mediator, he died for the elect onely, Ioh. 10.15.
