Leg. 19.

Keep up pretious thoughts of God under the sowrest, sharpest, and severest Dispensations of God to you, Psal. 22.1, 2, & 3. My God, my God, Why hast thou forsaken me? Why art thou so far from helping me? and from the words of my roaring; oh my God, I cry in the day time, but thou hearest not, and in the night season, and am not silent; There was the Psalmist under smart dispensations: but, What pretious thoughts hath he of God under all? But Thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the prayses of Is∣rael: though I am thus and thus afflicted; yet thou art holy. Psal 65.5. By terrible things in Righteousness wilt thou answer us, O God of our salvation.
