Memorial to the Sieur de la Grange-aux-Ormes.

THE said la Grange having acquainted the King with the fresh Trouble the Duke Charles of Lorrain is in for being out of His Majesty's Favour, and his Desire of being restor'd to the same again, His Majesty is willing to permit the said Sieur de la Grange to go back to the said Duke Charles of Lorrain, to assure him, that if he be in the Condition and Disposition he has sent him word, he will freely forget his Behaviour for the time past, and receive him into his Favour again; giving him all manner of Se∣curity, from this very Moment, to confer with the Lord Cardinal of Richelieu, near Langres.

Done at St. Menehoud, the 14th of August, 1639.
