For many are Called, but few are Chosen.
THese Words are in Ge∣neral the Shutting up, or Conclusion, of the fore-going Parable, which, it may seem, our Saviour speaketh directly to the Chief Priests and Pharisees; though it was spoken also in the Hearing, and for the Good and Admonition of o∣thers, of the People then present, and of the Disciples also: But it appears to be spo∣ken directly to the Chief Priests and Pha∣risees. For in Chap. 21. our Saviour spake in Parables, in which He signifieth how He should be Dealt with, and Rejected by the Husbandmen and Builders, Verse 28.—44.
