Shall the Querent profit by the Science intended?

The Ascendant, and his Lord, and Lu∣na, are the Significators of the Querent; the 9th House, and his Lord, and the Pla∣nets posited therein, shall signifie the Sci∣ence enquired after.

If you finde the Lord of the Ascen∣dant, or the Moon, applying to a Sextile or Trine of the Lord of the 9th, with mutual Reception, or from good Houses in the Figure, it is an argument he shall gain by the Art or Science intended. Or if you finde the Lord of the 9th in the Ascendant, no ways afflicted, in good aspect to the Lord of the second, it de∣notes the same.

Jupiter or Venus in the 9th, in good aspect to the Lord of the Ascendant, or Luna in the 9th, in any of her own Es∣sential dignities, and in Sextile or Trine to the Lord of the Ascendant; these are all arguments the Querent shall gain by the Art or Science enquired after.

The Lord of the 9th in Quadrate or Opposition to the Lord of the Ascendant or Luna, without Reception, it denotes Page  254the Querent shall not profit by his inten∣ded Art or Science.

If you finde Dragons Tail in the 9th, or the infortunate Planets in the 9th, afflicting the Lord of the Ascendant, or Luna; or if Saturn or Mars be Pere∣grine in the Ascendant, and afflict the Lord of the ninth, you may judge the same.
