℞. Common Oyl and Fountain Water of each two pound, prepar'd Litharge one pound, Ceruss four ounces; boil them ac∣cording to art to the consistence of a Plaster, then add eight ounces of yellow Wax and the like weight of Turpentine.

This is call'd Polychrestum by reason of its general use, but it is more especially recommended for Ulcerous Burns, Chaps, and Clefts in the Breasts, Hands, Feet, proceeding from Chilblains, &c. It is apply'd to Wounds and to discuss the remaining hardness of Impostumes; if spread thin it may serve for a Saradrap to lay upon Issues, Setons, &c.
