An Elixir of Garlick.

℞. Twenty heads of Garlick wash'd very clean, and having beaten them in a Mortar put them into an Alembeck, pour on Spirit of Wine to the height of four fingers, then distill in B. M. pour the Spirit upon fresh Garlick, and add in the last Distillation a scruple of Camphire ty'd in a knot.

The Elixir of Garlick recovers Appetite decay'd by viscid crude Phlegm clogging the Stomachical Ferment, attenuates and incides the gross Phlegm impacted on the Bronchiae and streightning the Breath, and is of good use in time of Pestilence and Sickness.
