XCV. Law from Sinai.

Generals.

SUch who have sinned without the Law, shal perish without Law,

As many as have sin∣ned in the Law, shal be judged by it, Rom. 2.12

Not the hearers there∣of, but the doers shall be justified, Rom. 2.13.

Whatsoever the Law speaks, it speaks unto them who are under the Law, Rom. 3.19.

By the deeds of the Law there shal no fle••h be justified, Rom. 3.20

Sinne is not imputed where there is no Law, Rom. 5.13.

The Law is not sin, Rom. 7.7.

We had not known sin but by the Law, ibid

A man is not justified by the works thereof, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, Gal. 2.16.

Without the Law sin was dead. Rom. 7.14.

The Saints with their mindes they serve the law of God, but with their flesh the law of sin Rom. 7 25.

If the inheritance he of the Law, it is no more of promise, Gal. 3.18.

Righteousnesse had been by the Law, if any Law given could have given life, Gal. 3.20.

Whosoever shal keep the whole Law, and yet fail in one point, is guil∣ty of all, Jam. 2.10.

Christ came not to destroy, but to fulfil it and the Prophets, Mat. 5.17.

Till heaven and earth passe away, one tittle thereof shal not passe away til all be fulfilled, Mat. 5, 18.

The carnal mind is not subject to the law of God, nor can be, Rom. 8.7.

The Spirit is not re∣ceived by the works thereof, but by the hear∣ing of Faith preached, Gal. 3.7.

If righteousnesse be

by the Law, then Christ died in vain, Gal. 2.21

The Law is not of faith, Gal. 3.12.

We through the law are dead unto it, that we might live unto God Gal. 2.19.

As many as are under the Law, are under the curse, Gal. 3.10.

Those are cursed who continue not in all things which are writen in the book of the Law to do them, Gal, 3.10. Such who without a law do things according to the Law, are a law to themselves, Rom. 2.19.

Circumcision profiteth keeping the Law; but not keeping the Law, it is made uncircumcisi∣on, Rom. 1.26.

The righteousnesse of the Law is manifested without the Law, being witnessed by the law & Prophets, Rom. 3.21.

The Law hath domi∣nion over a man so long as he lives, Rom. 7.1

The Law is holy, & the commandement holy, just and good, Rom. 7.12

The Law being weak, what it could not do, God sent his Son in the similitude of sinful flesh, and for sin con∣demned sin in the flesh, Rom. 8.3.

Christ is the end of the Law for righteous∣nesse to every one that believeth, Rom. 10.4.

Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the Law, when he was made a curse for us, Gal. 3.13

If righteousnesse be by the law, then Christ died in vain, Gal. 2.21.

The Law which was 400 yeares before the Promise, cannot disanul the Covenant which was confirm'd in respect of Christ, Gal. 3.17.

It is not against the pro∣mise of God, Gal. 3.21

Before faith came we were kept under it, be∣ing shut up into the Faith which should af∣terwards be revealed, Gal. 3.23.

All who are circumci∣sed are bond to keep the whole Law, Gal. 5.3.

When the Priesthood was changed, of neces∣sity there must be a change of the Law, Heb. 7.12.

The Law made no∣thing perfit, Heb. 7.19.

Under the Law, there were Sacrifices for sins of knowledge and ig∣norance, Hebr. 9.7. Lev. 6.12.

Trials.

As many as have sinned in the Law, shall be judged by the Law, Rom. 2.12.

Such who without a Law do things according to the Law, are a Law unto themselves, Rom. 2.14.

The Righteousnesse of God without the Law manifested, is wit∣nessed by the Law and Prophets, Rom. 3.21.

It worketh wrath, for where no Law is, there is no transgression Rom. 4.15.

It hath dominion o∣ver a man so long as he liveth, Rom. 7.1.

We were delivered from it, that he being dead wherein we were held, we should serve in newnes of Spirit, and not in oldnes of the letter, Rom. 7.6.

It was added because of transgressions, til the Seed should come unto which the promise was made, Gal. 3.19.

Whosoever are justi∣fied thereby, are fallen from Grace, Gal. 5.4.

It is good, if a man

use it lawfully, 1 Tim. 1.8.

It made nothing per∣fect, Heb. 7.19.

It had but the shadow of good things to come and not the substance of them, Heb. 1.10.

Working of great things amongst us, is done through the hear∣ing of Christ preached, & not throgh the works of the Law, Gal. 3.5.

Because the just must live by faith, no man can be justified by the Law, Gal. 3.11.

We are become dead to it by the body of Christ, Rom. 7.4.

The commanding power thereof which is in Christ Jesus, hath freed us from the law of sin and death, Rom. 8.2.

The righteousnesse thereof is fulfilled in such who walk not after the flesh, but after the spirit, Rom. 8.4.

By Christ all who be∣lieve, are justified from all things, from which they could not be justi∣fied by the law of Mo∣ses, Act. 13.39.

We through the law are dead to the Law, that we might live unto God, Gal. 2.19.

It was ordained be∣cause of the transgressi∣ons, till the seed should come unto which the promise was made, or∣dained by Angels in the hand of a Mediator Gal. 3.13.

If there had been a law which could have given righteousnes, then had righteousnesse been by the Law, Gal. 3.21.

Christ in the fulnesse of time was sent to re∣deem those under the Law, that we might receive the adoption of sonnes, Gal. 4.5.

It was our school-master

to bring us unto Christ, that we might be made righteous by faith, Gal. 3.24.

Those who wil be justified thereby, are abolished from Christ, & are fallen from grace Gal. 5.4.

It is all fulfilled in one word, to love our neighbour as our self, Gal. 5.14.

If we be led by the Spirit, we are not under the Law, Gal. 5.16.

It is not given unto a righteous man, but to the lawlesse and disobe∣dient, 1 Tim. 1.9

It was given by Moses, but grace & truth came by Jesus Christ, John 1.17.
