Generals.

THe Sacrament of Circumcision, was commanded and admi∣nistred the eight day, unto all the male chil∣dren of Israel, Gen. 17.8

Unto which figure, now answereth Bap∣tisme, 1 Pet. 3.21.

Jerusalem and Judea, went out to Iohn and

were baptized in Iordan Mat. 3.5, 6.

Christ Baptized all who came unto him, Iohn 3.26.

Christ baptized not but his Disciples, Iohn 4.2.

Iohn preached Bap∣tism for the remission of sins, Luke 1.3

Those who have been Baptized unto Christ, have been Baptized in∣to his death, Rom. 6.4.

Christ was circum∣cised, Mat. 2.21.

To fulfill all righte∣ousnesse, he was Bapti∣zed, Mat. 3.15.

The true effectuall Baptisme is the Bapti∣zing of the Spirit of God, Matth. 3.11.

It is Christ who bap∣tizeth with the Holy Ghost, Iohn 1.33.

All who are bapti∣zed into Christ, have put on Christ, Gal. 3.7.

Tryals.

Divers in the primi∣tive Church were twice Baptized, First into the Baptisme of Iohn, Se∣condly, in the name of the Lord Iesus, Act i9 6

Timotheus notwith∣standing Baptisme, be∣cause of the Iewes was Circumcised, Act. 16.3

Paul as soone as he received his sight, was Baptized, Act 9.18.

All unbelievers of old were admitted to be Baptized unto re∣mission of sins, to tepent them of their lives, Act 2.38.

After the infancie of the Church, both men and women were Bap∣tized, only in the name of the Lord Jesus; not of the Holy Ghost, then not sent, Act. 78.16.

The Gentiles who had received the holy Ghost were baptized, Act. 10.47.

The Eunuch of Ethi∣opia suddenly Baptized in the midst of the water, Act. 9.38.

The assent of believ∣ing in an infidel made him capable of Baptism Act. 8.37.
