XVIII. Benefits in parti∣cular, By him, In him, Through him.

1. By him, Past.

BY him all who be∣lieve are Iustified from all things from which they could not be justified by the Law of Moses, Acts 13.39.

Grace & truth came by him, Iohn 1.17.

All things are of God who hath reconciled us unto himselfe by Iesus Christ, 2 Cor. 5.18.

By him were all things Created, in heaven and in earth, with all other Creatures, whatsoever. Col. 1.16.

By Him Present.

By him also we have accesse by faith unto this Grace, wherein we stand and rejoice in the hope of the Glory of God, Rom. 5.2.

By Him to come.

If being enemies we were reconciled unto God by the death of of his sonne,

Much more being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life, Rom. 5.10.

As by the offence of one man many are made sinners,

So by his Obedience shall many be made Righteous, Rom. 5.19.

2. In him past.

The law of the spirit of life which is in him, hath freed us from the law of sin and death, Rom. 8.2.

God who comman∣ded the light to shine out of darknesse, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God, in the face of Iesus Christ, 2 Cor. 4.6.

God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself, not impu∣ting our sinnes, 2 Cor. 5.19.

The veyle of the Old Testament is done a∣way in him, 2 Cor. 5.14.

We are chosen in him before the founda∣tion of the world▪ Eph. 1.4.

In the dispensation of the fulnes of times, all things are gathered together in One, all things in Christ, both in heaven and earth, Eph. 1.10.

In him we have ob∣tained an inheritance, being predestinated thereunto, according to the purpose of God,

Who works all things according to the pur∣pose of him, who works all things according to the purpose of his own will, Ephes. 1.11.

Our mindes should not be corrupted from the simplicity that is in him, 2 Cor. 11.3.

In him neither cir∣cumcision availeth any thing, or uncircumcisi∣on, but faith which worketh by love, Gal. 5.6.

As we have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so we should walk in him rooted and built up in him, Col. 2.6.7.

In him dwelleth all the fulnesse of the God-head bodily, Col. 2.9.

By our rejoicing which we have in him, we ought to die dayly, 1 Cor. 15.31.

All the promises of God in him are Yea, & in him are Amen, 2 Cor. 1.20.

If any man be in him he is a new creature 2 Cor. 5.

In him to come.

Those who are alive in him, will God bring with him, 1 Thes. 4.14.

3 Through him past.

We are freely justified by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus our Lord, Rom. 3.24.

Through him present.

Being justified by faith we have peace through him, Rom. 5.1.

As sin reigns unto death, so grace reigns through righteousness to eternall life through Jesus Christ our Lord, Rom. 6.23.

The gift of God is eternal life, through him, Rom. 6.23.

As the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also a∣boundeth through him 2 Cor. 1.5.

Our Victory which we have is through him 1 Cor. 15.27.

Through him wee both have an access un∣to the Father by one Spirit, Ephes. 2, 5.

In him we are built together to be an habi∣tation of God through the Spirit, Ephes. 2.22.

God hath not ap∣pointed us to wrath, but to receive salvation— through our Lord Jesus Christ, 1 Thes. 5.9.
