The common-prayer-book the best companion in the house and closet as well as in the temple, or, A collection of prayers out of the liturgy of the Church of England, most needful both for the whole family together, and for every single person apart by himself with a particular office for the sacrament.
Howell, William, 1656-1714.

HEar us, Almighty and most merciful God and Saviour; extend thy ac∣customed goodness to this thy servant, who is grieved with sickness. Sanctifie, we beseech thee, this thy Fatherly correction to him; that the sense of his weakness may add strength to his faith, and seriousness to his re∣pentance; that if it shall be thy good plea∣sure to restore him to his former health, he may lead the residue of his life in thy fear, and to thy glory: Or else give him grace so to take thy Visitation, that after this painful life ended, he may dwell with thee in life ever∣lasting, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
