Three kinds of Witnesses, 1 From Heaven. 2 From Earth. 3 From under the Earth.

IN the Transfiguration of our Lord there appeared, 1 A man come from hea∣ven, viz. Elijah. 2 Three men yet re∣siding on the earth, viz. the three Apo∣stles. 3 A man come out from under the earth, viz. Moses. And so the glory wherewith our Lord did then appear, hath had some Witnesses come from all parts of the world, viz. from heaven, from earth, and from under the earth, that is, the grave: Which was a prelude of Christ's Exaltation, before whom all knees shall bow, of things in heaven, of things in earth, and of things under the earth.
