ABout the beginning of December, the Dialogue betwixt Christ and the Samaritan woman; that it was in that season of the year, the Interpreters do in∣fer it from that, that from that time there were four months to the Harvest,
(Joh. 4.35.) but the Harvest begun the next day after the Feast of the Passover, (Levit. 3.10. Deut. 16.9.)
In those four months that preceded the following Feast of the Passover, besides many other occurrences, we consider, 1 The first plot made against Christ (Joh. 4.1.) during the time of his Ministery. 2 The first time it was attempted to put him to death, (Luk. 4.29.) like∣wise during the time of his Ministery. 3 The first sick body he heal'd, being absent. 4 The first man possessed with a devil, that he delivered. 5 The first of the seven Sabbaths he hath solemnised by Miracles. 6 The first Leper he hath clensed. 7 The first sick of the Palsie he hath healed.
