Let us pray.

O Holy and ever blessed Jesus, who being the eternal Son of God, and most high in the Glory of God the Father, vouchsafed'st for us Sinners to be born of an humble Virgin, to be subject to the weakness of a little Child, to grow up in a Life of Privacy and Labour, to declare thy self at last the Redeemer of the World, by establishing a perfect Law of Grace, and confirming it with innumerable Mi∣racles, and suffering for it intolerable Per∣secutions, even to Death it self! work in us, we humbly beseech thee, the happy effects of all these Mercies, that believing in thee we may imitate thy Life, and obeying thy Commands, may enjoy thy Promises, who with the Father and the Holy Ghost, livest and reignest One God, World without End. Amen.
