But the Doctor said, That very sinfulness which we were, Christ is made that very sinfulness. Answer, If Christ was made Sin, it was not his own Sin, but our Sin: And if made Sin, it was very Sin: And if made very Sin, and our Sin, then for him to say, Christ was made the very sinfulness that we were, is the same as to say, he was made Sin. Do but grant that God made Christ to be Sin, when he
laid on him the Iniquity of us all, (or you must deny plain Scrip∣ture, and that on which our Salvation depends:) I say, grant this, and you grant all that the Doctor hath said, in as much as to be made Sin, is as much, if not more than to be made Sinfulness.
