Which will be sold by auction at Toms Coffee House adjoying to Ludgate, on Monday the 15th of October, 1694; beginning at 3 in the afternoon, and, so continue daily till all be sold. Conditions of sale. 1 He that bids most is the B[uyer], if any difference arise, which the company cannot decide, the book to be exposed again to sale. 2 The books for ought we know are perfect, if any appear otherwise before they are taken away, the buyer may take or leave them. 3 That every person be obliged to give in his name and place of abode, paying also 5s. in the pound for what he buyes if demanded; and be obliged to take his books away within [damaged] ...ays after the sale is ended. Catalogues are distributed gratis at Mr. Partridges at Charing-Cross, Mr. Metcalfes in Drury-Lane, Mr. Hargraves in Holbourn, Mr. Joys under the Royal Exchange, booksellers. And at the place of sale.
