  • There was no sensible alteration in the Gage when the Frost was most severe, tho' the Grapes and their Juice was Froze.
  • Sept. 21. The Grapes being little alter'd, and the Mer∣cury not much higher, the Receiver was opend, and the Grapes tho' more pungent, had not lost their Taste, but their Juice preserv'd it's red Colour.

Hence it appears, that Grapes yield not all their Air in a little time.
