Of the Withered Hand cured.* 1.1
* 1.2COnsider 1. It came to pass on another Sabboth, that be entered into the Synagogue, and taught: And there was a man, and his right hand was wither∣ed, &c. Our most merciful Lord taketh hold of all occasions of converting Souls; wherefore on the Sabboth days he frequented the Synagogues, that being then gathered together, he might the better reach them heavenly things. In the Synagogue he found a man, whose right hand was withered; for many there are, even in Gods Church, that have their left hands ready for mischief, but their right hands withered, and unable to do any good; And their right hand, is the right hand of Iniquity. See whether your hand be not thus withered.
* 1.3Consider 2. Then he saith to the man, stretch forth thy hand, and he stretched it forth, and it was resto∣red to health. Our Lord could as easily have done the Cure without stretching forth; but he will have us also to co-operate in our own behalf, according
