XI. Balsamum Sulphuris Ru∣landi, Rulandus his Bal∣sam of Sulphur.

Bate.] ℞ Flowers of Sul∣phur ℥j. Oil of Nuts or Rape∣seed ℥vj. generous Wine ℥ij. digest eight days, stirring them sometimes; then boil to the Comsumption of the Wine. It it is a singular Easer of Pain; A maturative and digestive in Wounds of the Ner∣vous parts: Dropt into the Ears, it takes away their Pain.

Salmon.] § 1. It is good also against all vices of the Skin whatsoever, freeing it from all its Defedations, for which purposes it is not lightly to be valued, being only anointed thereon, Morn∣ing and Evening for some time.

§ 2. It gives ease in the Gout, and in all Pains pro∣ceeding from Cold and Moi∣sture; and strengthens weak Nerves; and is a famous thing against Wounds in what part of the Body soever.
