HIrundo quum linum coeptum esset seri, suadebat aliis Aviculis impedire sementem, dictitans omnibus fieri insidias, Irridebant illae, garrulam{que} vocabant; Surgente lino rursum monebat evellere sata; Irridebant iterum; Maturescente lino hortabatur populari segetem; Et quum ne tunc quidem consulentem audiret Hirundo, cum homine faedus init, cohabitatque cum eo; Caeteris è lino avibus retia fiunt, et laquei.

MƲlti nec ipsi consulere sibi norunt, nec recte consulentem audiunt, sed quum in periculis versantur, tum demum incipiunt suam damnare so∣cordiam.
