ARies is a sygne of .xiii. sters and hath pro¦perly ye herbe Sage, Sti∣cados worm wode, Citrū, Calamente, Maioran, Penyryall, Isope, Beto∣nye, Rewe, Chelidon, Rosemarye, Horehounde, Accorus, Mynte, Ca∣momyll, Veruaine, Roses, Violets,
water Lylly, Popy, Myrtus, Pety∣morell, Alkikengy, Gurdes, Purce∣layne, and all maner of medecynes, made of these, as Siroppes, Iuleps, Confections, electuaryes, playsters, oyntmentes, and so forth.
Also he hath al the other herbes, sto∣nes, gummes, and mettalles, that are conteyned in the influence of the Sonne and Mars, bycause it is the house of Mars, and the exaltacyon of the Sonne. Also Aries hath a great part of the cōstellacion of An∣dromeda the which conteyneth .xxii. sterres, emonges whom a pryncipal starre is called the nauell of Andro∣meda, in the .xxi. degre of Aries, the whiche geueth influence to all the thinges vnder Venus and Mercury in the daye of the degre aforesayde. Also Aries gouerneth the head and face, so that in al maner kinde of me decines genē for any sickenes of the head and face, they shalbe myxed wt
some thynges vnder the Sonne. Mars or the signe Aries, the Moone beyng in the said sygne of Aries. Al∣so yf it be about the .xxi. degre, then shall ye myxe some thynges vnder Venus, & Mercury, with the aboue said, and so by these medecines shal∣be brought the vertu of the heuens, and nature of the Sterres into the proper heade and face by the onelye course & ministracion of the Moone in this sygne of Aries.
