* 1.1 FIrst make vp thy worke that is with∣out, and looke well vnto that which thou hast in the fielde, and then builde thine house.

* 1.2 Thorough wisedome is an house buil∣ded, and with vnderstanding is it sett vppe. Thorough discretion shal the chambers be filled with all costly and pleasant riches.

* 1.3 See that thou knowe the number of thy cattell thy self, and looke well to thy flocks: for riches abide not alway, and the crowne endureth not for euer.

* 1.4 The hay groweth, the grasse commeth vp, and herbes are gathered in the moun∣taines.

* 1.5 The lambes shall cloth thee, and for thy goates thou shalt haue money to thy hus∣bandry: thou shalt haue goates milke e∣nough to feede thee, to vphold thy houshold and to sustaine thy maidens.

* 1.6 Let no laborious worke be tedious vnto thee, neither the husbandry which the Al∣mighty hath created.

* 1.7 If thou haue cattell looke well to them, and if they be for thy profite, keepe them.

* 1.8 The encrease of the earth vpholdeth all thing: yea the King him selfe is maintay∣ned by husbandry.
