And whereas the Saintes commend o∣therwhiles their innocencie and integrity before God: this they doe not to the end, to trust in the iustice of their workes in Gods iudgement, and to rest their con∣sciences as vpon a good foundation: but either to testifie the goodnesse of their a 1.1 cause against their aduersaries, or to cō∣fort themselues concerning their adop∣tion,b 1.2 by the fruites of their faith and cal∣ling: for that they rest on the onely fauour of God in Iesus Christ.
