* 1.1IAir succeeded Thola, & began his gouerment in the yere of the world, 2738, and 1230 yeares before Christ. He took his name from the singular worth and noble disposition that was in him. This Iair was one of the tribe of Manasseh, he was lame of both his feet, and was a man of great estimation among the Iewes, for there were thirty Castles and Townes that were called after his name, Iudg. 10.
