You vse nothing but the expresse word of God. The false Prophetes in times past vsed nothing but the expresse worde of God: Ergo, you be false Prophetes.
Responsio.
I denie the cōsequent: for he is not a false Pro¦phet whiche vseth the expresse worde of God, but he yt doth falsely vse it and doth detort it from the natiue sense. They call the expresse worde of God the texte of the Scriptures, whiche (as Swinckfeldius doth vtterly reiecte) so the Papistes make it doubtfull and vncertayne.* 1.1
