¶ The order of burnte offrynges, whether it be of small or great catell or foules.

[ A] ANd the Lorde cal∣led Moses, and spake vnto him out of the ta∣bernacle of witnes, say∣inge: Speke to the chil¦dren of Israel, and saye vnto them: who so e∣uer of you shall brynge a gyfte vnto the Lorde shall brynge it of the cattell: euen of the oxen and of the shepe.
Yf he brynge a burnt offrynge of the oxen, he shall bryng a male without blemysshe, and shall brynge hym to the doore of the taberna∣cle of wytnes, that he maye be accepted before the Lorde. And let him put his hand vpon the [ B] heed of the burnt sacrifyce, and fauoure shall be giuen him to make an attonement for him, vnd let him kyll the oxe before the Lorde. And let the prestes Aarons sonnes bring the bloude and let them sprynkle it rounde aboute vpon the alter, that is before the dore of the taber∣nacle of wytnes. And let the burnt offrynges be strypped and hewed in peces. And then let the sonnes of Aaron the preest put fyre vpon the alter, and put wod vpon the fyre, and let them laye the peces with the heed and the fat vpon the wod that is on the fyre in the alter. But the intrayles and the legges they shall wasshe in water, and the preest shall burne al¦togyther vpon the alter, that it be a burnt sa∣crifyce, and an offeryng of a swete odour vnto [ C] the Lorde.
Yf he wyll offre a burnt sacrifyce of the shepe, whether it be of lambes or of the gotes he shall offre a male without blemysshe. And let hym kyll it on the northe syde of the aul∣ter before the Lorde. And let the preestes, Aa∣rons sonnes sprynckle the bloude of it rounde aboute vpon the aulter. And let it be cutte in peces: euen with his heed and his fatte, and lette the Preeste put them vpon the wodde that lyeth vpon the fyre in the aulter. But lette hym wasshe the intrayles and the leg∣ges with water, and then brynge all togy∣ther and burne it vpon the aulter: that is a burnt offryng, and a sacrifices of swete sauour vnto the Lorde.
[ D] Yf he wyll offre a burnt offrynge of the foules, he shall offre eyther of the turtle do∣ues, or of the younge pygyons. And the Preeste shall brynge it vnto the aulter, and wrynge the necke asonder, and burne it on the aulter, and lette the bloude runne oute vpon the sydes of the aulter, and plucke a∣waye his croppe and his fethers, and caste them besyde the aulter on the East part vpon the heape of asshes, and breake his wynges, but plucke them not asonder. And then lette the Preeste burne it vpon the aulter: euen vpon the wodde that lyeth vpon the fyre, a burnt sacrifyce, and an offerynge of a swete sauour vnto the Lorde.
