¶ Paule goeth in to Macedonia and in to Grece. At Eroas he rayseth vp a deed body. At Ephesus he calleth the elders of the congregacion togyther, com∣mytteth the kepynge of Goddes flocke vnto them, warneth them of false teachers, maketh his prayer with them, and departeth to shyppe.

AFter the rage was ceased, Paul called [ A] the disciples vnto him, and toke his leaue of them, and departed to go into Macedonia. And when he hadde gone ouer those parties, and gyuen them large exhorta∣tions, he came into Greece, and there abode three monethes. And when the Iewes layde awayte for him as he was aboute to sayle in∣to Syria, he purposed to returne thorow Ma¦cedonia. There accompanied him into Asia, Sopater of Berrhea, and of Thessalonia, A∣ristarcus [ B] and Secundus, and Gayus of Der∣ba, and Timotheus: and out of Asia, Tichi∣cus and Trophimos. These went before, and taryed vs at Troas. And we sayled away frō Philippos after the Ester holydayes, & came vnto them to Troas in fyue dayes, where we abode seuen dayes.
And on the morow after the Saboth day,* 1.1 the disciples came togither for to breake bred, and Paul preached vnto them (redy to depart on the morowe) and continued the preaching vnto mydnight. And there were manye ligh∣tes in the chaumber where they were gathe∣red togither, and there sate in a wyndowe a certayne yonge man named Eutichus,* 1.2 fallen into a depe sleepe. And as Paul declared, he was the moare ouercome with slepe, and fell [ C] downe frome the thyrde lofte, and was taken vp deed.* 1.3 Paul went downe and fel on him and embrased him, and sayde: make nothing a doo, for his lyfe is in hym. When he was come vp agayne, he brake bred, and talked, & comened a longe whyle, euen tyll the mor∣nynge, and so departed. And they brought the younge man a lyue, and were not a lyttel cō∣forted.
And we went afore to shyp, and sayled vn∣to Asson, there to receyue Paule. For so had he appointed, & wolde him selfe go a fore. When he was come vnto vs to Assō, we toke him in, and came to Mytilenes. And we sayled thence and came the next day ouer against Chios. And the next day we arriued at Samos, and tary∣ed at Trogilon. The next day we came to My¦leton: for Paul had determined to leaue E∣phesus as they sayled, because he wolde not spende the tyme in Asia. For he hasted to be
