HOlde not thy songe, O God, kepe not styll sylence: refrayne not thy selfe, O [ A] God.
For loo, thyne ennemyes make a murmu∣rynge▪ and they that hate the, lyfte vp theyr 〈◊〉〈◊〉.

They ymagen craftely agaynste thy peo∣ple: and take counsell agaynste thy secrete ones.
Come (saye they) let vs rote them out from among the people, that ye name of Israel may be put out of remembraunce.

Gebal, Ammon, and Amalech: the Philisti∣nes with them that dwel at Tyre.
Assur also is ioyned vnto them, and help the children of Loth. Selah.
But do thou to them as vnto the Madiani∣tes, vnto Sisera: and vnto Iabin by ye broke of Kison.
Whiche perisshed at Endor: and became as the donge of the erth.* 1.2
Make al their princes lyke Oreb and Zeb: yea make all their princes lyke as Zebea and Salmana.
[ C] Whiche saye, we wyll haue the houses of God in possession.
O my God, make them lyke vnto a whele, & as the stubble before the wynde.
Lyke as a fyre that burneth vp the wodde, and as the flame that consumeth the moun∣taynes.
Persecute them euen so with thy tempest, & make them afrayde with thy storme.
Make their faces ashamed, o Lorde, that they may seke thy name.
Lette them be confounded and vexed euer more and more: let them be put to shame and perysshe.
That they maye knowe that thou arte alone, that thy name is the Lorde: and that thou onely arte the mooste hyest ouer all the earthe.
