PSAL. CXVI.* 1.1
O Gyue thankes vnto the Lorde, for he [ A] is gracious,* 1.2 and his mercy endureth for euer.
Let Israel now confesse, that his mercy en¦dureth for euer.
Let the house of Aaron now confesse, that his mercy endureth for euer.
Yea let them now that feare the Lorde con¦fesse, that his mercy endureth for euer.
I called vpon the Lord in trouble, and the Lorde herde me at large.
The Lorde is my helper, I will not feare what man doeth vnto me.* 1.3
The Lorde is my helper, and I shall se my [ B] desire vpon myne ennemyes.
It is better to trust in the Lorde, then to put any confidence in man.
It is better to trust in the Lorde thē to put any confidence in princes.
All Heythen compased me rounde aboute but in the name of the Lorde will I destroye them.
They kepe me in on euerye syde, but in the name of the Lorde, I wyll destroye them.
They came aboute me lyke bees, and were as hote as the fyre in the thornes, but in the name of the Lorde I wyll destroye them.
They thrust at me, that I myght fall,* 1.4 but the Lorde was my helpe.
The Lorde is my strength, and my songe, [ C] and is become my saluacion.
The voyce of ioye and myrthe is in the dwellynges of the ryghteous, for the right∣hande of the Lorde hathe gotten the vy∣ctory.
The righthande of the Lorde hath the pre∣emynence, the righthande of the Lorde hath gotten the victory.
I will not dye, but lyue, and declare the workes of the Lorde.
The Lorde hath chastened and correcte me, but he hathe not gyuen me ouer vnto deth.
