* 1.1PSAL. CXIIII.
[ A] I Am well pleased, that the Lorde hath herd the voyce of my prayer.
That he hath enclyned his eare vnto me therfore will I call vpon him as longe as I lyue.* 1.2
The snares of death compased me rounde∣about, the paynes of hell gat holde vpon me, I founde trouble and heuynesse.
Then called I vpon the name of the Lorde: O Lorde: delyuer my soule.
Gracious is the Lorde, and righteous, yea [ B] our God is mercyfull.
The Lorde preserueth the simple, I was brought downe, and he helped me.
Tourne agayne then vnto thy reste. O my soule, for the Lorde hathe gyuen the thy de∣syre.
And why thou hast delyuered my soule frō death, myne eyes frome teares, and my feete from fawlynge.
* 1.3I will walke before the Lorde, in the land [ C] of the lyuinge.
I beleued, and therfore haue I spoken, but I was sore troubled.
I sayde in my hast: All men are lyers.
What rewarde shal I gyue vnto the Lord for all the benefytes that he hathe doone vn∣to me?
I will receyue the cuppe of saluacion, & call vpon the name of the Lorde.* 1.4
I will paye my vowes in the presence of all his people, right deare in ye sight of the Lorde is the death of his saynctes.
O Lorde, I am thy seruaunt, I am thy ser¦uaunt, [ D] and the sonne of thy handmayde, thou hast broken my bondes in sonder.
I will offre to the, the sacrifice of thankes∣gyuynge, and will call vpon the name of the Lorde.
I will paye my vowes vnto the Lorde in the syghte of all his people, in the courtes of the Lordes house, euen in the myddest of the, O Ierusalem. Prayse the euerlastinge.
