¶ Of Easter, whytsontyde, and the feast of taber∣nacles, what offycers ought to be ordeyned.

OBserue the moneth ofφ 1.1 Abyb, and offer passeouer vnto the Lorde thy God. For [ A] in the moneth of Abib,* 1.2 the Lorde thy God brought the out of Egypte by nyght. Thou shalt therfore offer passeouer vnto the Lorde thy God, and shepe & oxen in the place which the Lorde shal chose to make his name dwel there. Thou shalt eare no leuended bred therwith: but shalt eate therwith the bred of tribulacion .vij. dayes longe. For thou camest out of the lande of Egypte in hast, that thou mayst remembre the daye when thou camest oute of the lande of Egypte all dayes of thy lyfe.* 1.3 * 1.4 And se there be no leuended bred sene in all thy costes .vij. dayes longe, and that there remayne nothinge of the flesshe whiche thou haste offred, the firste daye at euen, vntyll the mornynge.
Thou mayste not offer passeouer in anye of [ B] thy cyties whiche the Lorde thy God gyueth the:* 1.5 but* 1.6 in the place whiche the Lorde thy God shall chose to make his name dwell in, there thou shalt offer passeouer at euen about the goynge downe of the sonne, euen in the season that thou camest out of Egypte. And thou shalt sethe and eate it in the place which the Lorde thy God hath chosen, and departe on the morow and get the vnto thy tent. Sir dayes thou shalt eate swete bred, and the .vij daye is for the people to come togither to the Lorde thy God, that thou maist do no worke.
Then reken the .vij. wekes,* 1.7 and begyn to re¦ken the .vij. wekes whē the sickel begynneth in the corne, and kept the feast of wekes vnto the Lorde thy God, that thou gyue a frewil-offringe of thyne hande vnto the Lorde thy God, accordinge as the Lorde thy God hath blessed the. And reioyse before the Lorde thy God both thou, thy sonne, thy doughter, thy seruaunt and thy mayde, and the Leuite that is within thy gates, and the straunger, the fa¦therlesse and the wydow that are among you, in the place which the Lorde thy God hathe chosen to make his name dwell there. And re¦membre thou wast a seruaunt in Egypt, that thou obserue and do these ordinaunces.
Thou shalt obserue the feast of tabernacles vij. dayes longe, after thou hast gathered in [ C] thy corne and thy wyne. And thou shalte re∣ioyse in that thy feaste, bothe thou thy sonne thy doughter, thy seruaunt, thy mayde, ye Le∣uite, the straunger, the fatherlesse and the wy¦dowe that are in thy cyties.* 1.8 Seuen dayes thou shalt kepe holy daye vnto the Lorde thy God, in the place which the Lorde shall chose for the Lorde thy God shall blesse the in all thy frutes and in all the workes of thyne han¦des, and therfore shalte thou be gladde.
