THen was Peter kepte in prison, but pray•• was made without ceasing of the congrega∣tion vnto God for him.

And vpon a day appointed Herode araied him in royall apparell, and set him in his seate, & made an oration vnto them.

And the people gaue a shoute sayinge: it is the voice of a god, and ••ot of a man. And immediatly the Aungell of the Lorde smote him, bicause he gaue not God the honoure. And he was eaten of wormes, and gaue vp the goste.
