§. 2.

Let not the Booke of the Law, (as saith* 1.1 the Lord vnto Iosua) depart out of thy mouth, but meditate therein day & night: that thou maist obserue & doe, according to all that is written therein; for, then shalt thou make thy way prosperous; and then shalt thou haue good successe.

Yea; let thy minde, be vppon the ordi∣naunces* 1.2 of the Almighty, & be thou con∣tinually occupied in his cōmaundements: so shall he stablish thy heart, and giue thee wisedome at thine owne desire.

For, the knowledge of the commaunde∣ments* 1.3 of God, is the doctrine of life: and they that obey him, shall receiue the fruite of immortalitie.
