¶ The thre concordes in Grammer
THere be but thre concordys in Gram∣mer. The first betwyxt the nominatif or the vocatyf and the verbe.
The secounde bitwyxt the adiectif and the substantyf.
The thyrde bytwyxt the relatyf and the antecedent. It hath ben sayde ther be two more. but lerned men reduce them to the secounde. as rosa est pulcherrim{us} florum. where is vnsterstonde thys substantyf flos. Alter istorum currit. where is vnderstonde Vir. Pu∣er. or some other lyke.

Here is to be noted that if I shal make an englys∣she in latyn. I mustre herse it tyll I haue it perfytly & see how many verbes be in the same reason. and yf ther be put one. he is the principal verbe thēne must I put before hym thys questyon who or what. & that worde that answereth to the questyon. shal be the no¦minatif or vocatyf to the v{er}be. as the mayster techeth this worde techeth is the verbe who. or what techeth the mayster. this worde mayster. here answereth to this questyon. and therfore it shal be nominatyf case as magister docet.
