¶ The thyrde concorde
The thyrde is bytwyxt the relatyf of substaunce, and his antecedēt. the which muste euer agree in. iij. accidentes Gendre. noumbre. and persone. howe be it he may discorde wyth the verbe somtyme in perso ne. as Equus quem video currit
Here is to be vnderstande that there be two ma∣ner of relatyues. One of substaunce. And one of accy¦dence. The relatyf of substaunce requireth a substā∣tyf for his antecedentes. as Qui. Ille. Ipse. Sui. Is. and Idem. The relatyf of accidence reherseth an adie¦ctyf for hys antecedent. as Talis. Qualis. Tantus. Quantus.
Also whan I haue a relatyf of substaunce. I shal put after hym this question who. whom. or what. & that worde that answereth to this question shall be ye anteredent to the relatyf. as Virgyll is dede ye whych was a poete. The which what. Virgyll. Thys word Virgyll answereth to the questyon. and therfore it is hys antecedent
This relatyf Quiis knowē by these signes. that
