IOhn did beare witnes of hym,
cried & said. It was this of whō
I spake: After me shal he come,
y• was before me, for he was or
euer I, [more noble and honorable]
and of hys fulnesse haue all we re∣ceaued
grace for grace: for the lawe
was geuen by Moses, grace & trueth
came by Iesus Christ. No man hath
sene God at any tyme: vvith a vision
of perfect comprehētion. The only ••e
gottē sonne which is in ye bosome of ye
father, he hathe declared ye same vnto
vs. And this is ye recorde of Iohn, whā

make straight ye way of the Lorde as
the Prophet Esai sayde. And they
