PSAL. CXLIII. A Psalm of David.
LOrd, hear my pray'r, attend my suits
and in thy faithfulnesse
Give thou an answer unto me,
and in thy righteousnesse.
Thy servant also bring thou notLine 2
in judgement to be try'd;
Because no living man can be
in thy sight justify'd,
For th'enemy hath pursu'd my soul,Line 3
my life to ground down tread:
In darknesse he hath made me dwell,
as who have long been dead.
My sprit is therefore overwhelm'dLine 4
in me, perplexedly;
VVithin me is my very heart
amazed wondrously.
