PSAL. CXV. (Book 115)

NOt unto us, Lord, not to us, but do thou glory take Unto thy Name, ev'n for thy truth, and for thy mercies sake. O wherefore should the heathen say,Line 2 Where is their God now gone? But our God in the heavens is,Line 3 what pleas'd Him He hath done.
Their idols silver are and gold,Line 4 work of mens hands they be: Mouths have they, but they do not speak;Line 5 and eyes, but do not see. Ears have they, but they do not hear;Line 6 noses, but savour not: Hands, feet, but handle not, nor walk,Line 7 nor speak they through their throat.
Like them their makers are, and allLine 8 on them their trust that build. O Isra'l, trust thou in the Lord,Line 9 He is their help and shield. O Aarons house, trust in the Lord,Line 10 their help and shield is He. Ye that fear God, trust in the Lord,Line 11 their help and shield He'll be.
The Lord of us hath mindfull been,Line 12 and He will blesse us still,

He will the house of Isra'l blesse, blesse Aarons house He will. Both small and great that fear the LordLine 13 He will them surely blesse. The Lord will you, you and your seedLine 14 ay more and more increase.
O blessed are ye of the Lord,Line 15 who made the earth and heaven. The heav'n, ev'n heav'ns are Gods, but HeLine 16 earth to mens sons hath given. The dead, nor who to silence go,Line 17 Gods praise do not record. But henceforth we for ever willLine 18 blesse God▪ Praise ye the Lord.
