PSAL. CXII. (Book 112)

PRaise ye the Lord. The man is blest that fears the Lord aright, He who in His commandements doth greatly take delight. His seed and off-spring powerfullLine 2 shall be the earth upon: Of upright men blessed shall be the generation.
Riches and wealth shall ever beLine 3 within his house in store: And His unspotted righteousnesse endures for evermore. Unto the upright light doth rise,Line 4 though he in darknesse be: Compassionate and mercifull, and righteous is he.
A good man doth his favour shew,Line 5 and doth to others lend: He with discretion his affairs will guide unto the end. Surely there is not any thingLine 6 that ever shall him move: The righteous mans memoriall shall everlasting prove.

When he shall evill tidings hear,Line 7 he shall not be afraid; His heart is fixt, his confidence upon the Lord is staid. His heart is firmly stablished,Line 8 afraid he shall not be, Untill upon his enemies he his desire shall see.
He hath disperst, giv'n to the poor,Line 9 his righteousnesse shall be To ages all; with honour shall his horn be raised high. The wicked shall it see, and fret,Line 10 his teeth gnash, melt away: What wicked men do most desire shall utterly decay.
